Can You Take the Texas Level II Course Online?

Yes. The Texas Level II course can be taken entirely online, and at MLG it is 100% online from enrollment to certificate. There is no classroom trip, no Mission visit, and no in-person session anywhere in the Level II path. You study on your own device, at your own pace, and your PSP-36 certificate is emailed to you when you pass.

How the Online Classroom Works

  1. Enroll online ($55). Pay by card and your classroom opens immediately.
  2. Work the 11 modules in order. Six hours of DPS Level II curriculum, self-paced. Each slide's narration must play to the end before the next unlocks — seeking back is allowed, skipping ahead is not, and playback is fixed at normal speed.
  3. Your progress saves. Your listened progress and module completion are recorded on your student record, so you can stop and resume on any device.
  4. Pass the final exam online (75%+). Your PSP-36 certificate of completion is generated and emailed automatically.

What Is Not Online

Two steps live outside the classroom, because they belong to the state: your DPS application in TOPS, and fingerprinting. Those happen through DPS and its fingerprinting process after training. Nothing else in Level II requires you to be anywhere in person.

Common Questions

Is an online Level II certificate the same as a classroom one?
Yes. The certificate is the same DPS form PSP-36, whether the approved course was taken online or in a room. What matters is that the school and course are DPS-approved — MLG is a DPS-licensed training school, license #F01356.

What do I need to take it online?
A device with internet and sound. The classroom is audio-narrated, so speakers or headphones are required to complete each slide.

How fast can I finish?
The course is self-paced. Most students finish in one or two sittings; you keep your access link the whole time.
