Level IV — Personal Protection Officer Course
Level IV qualifies commissioned officers for personal protection (bodyguard) work in Texas. State law — Occupations Code §1702.205(b) — requires this course to be taught entirely in person, with the instructor present for all instruction. MLG runs Level IV as small scheduled cohorts in Mission, TX. Anyone selling you a "fully online" Level IV is selling you a problem with DPS.

Eligibility — Read Before Enrolling
Under Texas law (HB 1508), a criminal history may make you ineligible for a personal protection officer license, even after completing training. You have the right to request a criminal history evaluation letter from the Texas DPS before enrolling. This course provides training and certification only — the license itself is issued solely by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
