Level IV Classroom — Personal Protection Officer
Level IV qualifies commissioned officers for personal protection (bodyguard) work in Texas. State law — Occupations Code §1702.205(b) — requires all 15 hours to be taught entirely in person, with the instructor present for all instruction, so there are no online lessons in this course: this page is your cohort tracker. Sessions are held at our Mission, TX school as scheduled cohorts; attendance and completion are recorded here as your cohort progresses.

Under Texas law (HB 1508), a criminal history may make you ineligible for a security officer license, even after completing training. You have the right to request a criminal history evaluation letter from the Texas DPS before enrolling. This course provides training and certification only — the license itself is issued solely by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
