Eligibility — Read Before Scheduling
Under Texas law (Gov't Code §411.172), a License to Carry is generally for adults 21 and older who are legally eligible to possess a handgun (members and veterans of the U.S. armed forces and people protected by an active protective order may qualify at 18–20). A criminal history, certain court orders, or other disqualifiers may make you ineligible, even after completing training. This course provides training and certification only — the license itself is issued solely by the Texas Department of Public Safety.
